Science and Outreach
The RAPP Center embraces a strong commitment to the communication of its scientific questions, methods, and results not only to physics students and young researchers, but also to the general public. Members of RAPP strive to convey the fascination and importance of their work, and employ several channels for this purpose. These include in particular
- Public talks at the Zeiss Planetarium Bochum,
- frequent participation in the popular Saturday morning physics series, and
- delivering public talks at Blue Square, where a dedicated RAPP lecture series is scheduled to start in fall of 2017, and
- strenghening the link between science and society through publications aimed at a wide audience, such as the recent article The RAPP Center: Searching for Answers in Plasma-Astroparticle Physics in Scientia.
